My life began in Labrador West, an iron-ore mining town, about 17KM from Newfoundland & Labrador's border with Quebèc. Winter lasts about six months and as a kid, I ski-dooed, skied, snow boarded, ice fished, camped and fell in love with snow and the world dressed in white. In the other seasons I hiked, swam, played sports and soaked up the natural wonders that are unique to Labrador.
This innate spirit of adventure, led to spending a year in Australia when I was 16, as an exchange student. I followed this up with stints in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Egypt and every part of Canada. After graduating from UNB, Fredericton with a degree in Philosophy of Leadership Studies, I spent a winter snowboarding in Whistler. It was at this time that I gave myself the time and permission to explore my passion for photography.
I am currently 24 years old and live in downtown Toronto. I have completed an Image Arts Photography Certificate at Ryerson Chang School and am continuing to add courses on specific areas of interest and skill development. I've been blessed with opportunities to assist photographers on commercial shoots and am extending my portfolio constantly. I have a “natural eye” and a passion for the medium and am always open to new opportunities. I'm looking forward to what the future has in store for me, and my photography.
